EVERY CLOUD HAS A SILVER LINING

Heya everyone, had a good day? We went to lunch with Chris grandparents as we always do on Wednesday but apart from that I have had quite a lazy chilled day but i think tomorrow i need to start writing lists of things i need to get sorted. It really is time to un-clutter my life or even just start to organise myself a bit better. I have THE worse memory in the entire history of the world. I really need a list, something visual for me to see what i need to do. Im a very visual person. When i was younger for studying i used to do everything in bright colours as it was easier for me to learn it and see what it was i needed to know. Mood-wise, i am feeling much much better. Im not down at all and i feel my normal self, so im very glad about that.

So this outfit. How did it come together? Well, i have no idea. Ive wanted to use these shoes for a while but until last night i only had one other outfit idea for them. It was with the dress that i wore/posted yesterday so i couldnt really pop it on today. Plus it was nice and summery weather again and i think these shoes are quite summery. I then remembered this skirt and how the minty pastel colour was quite similar to the shoes plus i used my green satchel bag yesterday and i couldn't quite be bothered to switch bags today. And thus, this outfit was born. You all know (or should know by now, except if you are a new reader :P) how much i love mixing casual and dressed up things and thats why i added this t-shirt. I thought the grey would work quite well with the rest of the outfit. And of course the white socks are just too damn cute not to add to these metallic mary-janes!

I know for some of you these shoes will not be your thing and that they are kind of ugly. But thats also what kind of drew me to them. The thought of not many people having them or liking them. I try where i can to be different. I also added this sunglasses because 1) Chris told me to and 2) they are kind of metallic and match the shoes :)

TAKE ME TO THE TOP OF THE WORLD

Hiya everyone sorry ive recently been MIA. Ive just had a bad couple of days, ive been feeling quite down and low in my mood. I tried to get some outfit photos yesterday as we had a beautiful hot day in Scotland, but i really wasnt feeling it. I just didnt have the energy and enthusiasm to model/pose. It has really annoyed me that i havent posted anything the past couple of days because i really was on roll with posting again. I was really starting to enjoy it, then i had to be hit with my low moods. But it dosent matter now, i have picked myself up and im going to get right back into blogging again.

Today we were once again hit with some glorious weather. We didn't just have the sun making an appearance but we also had some hot temperatures to go with it! Normally, we have the sun out but its a still a bit nippy in the air so we decided to make good use of it and have a bbq! We went round to Chris parents house as they have a pretty awesome all singing and all dancing bbq and plus they had more food in than us :P. We had some burgers, sausages, pork steaks and some pasta! Needless to say i am now stuffed and un-able to move for the next hour or two. Unfortunately though, as were sitting down to eat the clouds began to appear, so the sun was disappearing and there was a chilly wind. Sods Law.

I just wore something pretty casual and summery today. I wanted something pretty girly yet smart and casual. Also i wanted to show off my blue legs as for once it was actually warm enough! So i came up with this. I really do love these suede/faux-leather boots as they are extremely comfy and easy to throw on with anything. Im still annoyed at myself for not also investing in the black ones because they are just the perfect little ankle boots and the height of them are just perfect for running around in. I also threw on my trusty Topshop bomber jacket just in case it did turn cold and also i thought it would kind of balance out how much skin was on show. We are in Scotland after all and it isnt really wise to go out in a complete spanish weather kind of outfit as you will always be caught out. We can experience 3/4 seasons in a day and the weather is pretty much ALWAYS different in the morning to the afternoon. So i was prepared. I also put on my new H&M brown sunglasses to match my bomber.

IRON MAN & SPIDER MAN

Hiya everyone! Had a good day? Me and Chris went for some lunch with his mum at Bernies Cafe. I did not dress up today as i was too lazy but fortunately for you lot i had an outfit i had yet to post. Its what i wore on sunday to go to Chris parents for some dinner. We were lucky to even get to photograph this outfit, as there was an interval from raining then afterwards it chucked it down. I dont even think it had been that heavy all day until we literally stopped shooting. Talk about luck! It was as if the universe wanted me to get the photos ;)

The reason im having a lazy day is because im really tired today, i havent been sleeping well the past few nights and i have no idea why. As soon as im wanting to sleep (as its already late) I just seem to be wide awake and the birds are wanting to talk. Not good. I need to try and get an early night tonight though as i have a few things that need to be urgently sorted out tomorrow!

I wore this originally in Paris (and because i am/was a bad blogger then i didnt get photos of it in a pretty fantastic place to photograph. BUT in my defence i really dont like to pose/model in front of people as i feel like a vain twat.) and i really loved it. I love the cool casualness of it and how super comfy it is. We were walking around all day so i was not about to put heels onto my poor little feet. Plus i love that these flatforms really add to my height which is a major plus for me as i do like some added height to my petiteness. I also thought because it was a pretty wacky outfit and we were in a "fashionable" city people around me would also adore it as much as i did. Oh how one can be wrong. The looks i continued to get the whole time i was in Paris was crazy. I guess the outfits i had picked to wear out there would of looked much better in the surroundings of London and its wacky street style.

I totally misjudged the styling situation. As i looked around myself i noticed how mature, chic and minimal Parisian style was. I really do wish i had kind of researched outfit choices before i went. So next time i go, i will be wearing my smarter side of my wardrobe.

ALL YOU NEED IS ROCK

Hiya everyone, you all good? Ive had another good day and again its been all thanks to Chris! He took me to one of my favourite restaurants in Balloch near Loch Lommond called Balloch House. Its amazing!!! If you are ever in area i really recommend you to visit. Its a restaurant and a b&b, its right on the river side and has some beautiful views all the way around. Theres also a footpath you can walk, which we have yet to venture along. Its old traditional food with a fancy twist, it really is too good. I had a lamb shank pie which was delicious and we had a sharing platter for starter. It had lamb meatballs, chicken strips, breaded mushrooms, belly pork and some breaded sticks with a cheesey sweet onion sauce. Chris had a burger (again) with chips. We then went to the cinema to see Iran Man 3! We both loooove all of these types of movies and really could not wait to see it.

Our honest opinion on the film is, that yes it was good and of course is typically Iron Man BUT not as good as the first two! I honestly believe there is an explanation for this though. There is meant to be another avengers film and there are more of the avengers releasing individual films. So i think its to give  some of the rest of the other avengers some limelight with their films. What do you think? Have you seen it? If so, what is your opinion on the film?

Again we have some lovely weather for photographing! I put this outfit together a couple of weeks ago when me and Chris went to his dads work to do some corporate photography for college. I thought i should look smart and presentably but with my own style and a twist. Its also what i wore when i done my first wedding job. Like i said in my previous post, i really like to smarten casual things up and casual smart things down. I thought it was time i wore this suit aswell, which i got agesss ago. I had my eye on it for ages and snapped it up when it went into the sale.  Today i just want something comfy as my feet have sores from wearing my black heeled brogues the other day.

QUEEN OF THE CASTLE

Hiya everyone how are you all doing? Its been a lovely day here in Scotland! So i was very lucky and got treated to a Harvesters by my lovely fiance. Afterwards, we then went for a wonder around Braehead shopping centre. I did indeed indulge in something, but it was small to my defence (a wee bit pricey for what it was). It was a silver necklace from Topshop which has horses on it. Here it is:

add me on instagram: @hayley_mg

I got it because when i was younger i loved horses and i still do but i dont ride anymore. Me and my mum both used to have horses and were down at the yard all the time and riding as much as we could so it reminded me of those happy memories.

I used to love hacking with my mum it was brilliant! We used to go away for an hour sometimes two and we'd just chat away while being in beautiful surroundings that way may have not ever seen if we hadnt been horsey people. I was very close to my mum, she wasnt just my mum, she was my best friend. I would always hang out with her and experience everything with her. Rather than being out with friends i was the person who was with their mum. I really miss having time with my mum, just hanging out.

So i wore this outfit a few months ago when i was meeting my big cousin for some lunch, so i decided to wear it again last wednesday for lunch out with Chris and his grandparents (a wednesday tradition). I really like outfits that are kind of casual (with the t-shirt) mixed with a bit of glamour (the high heels and the statement necklace). I love to do that sort of thing with outfits dress them up and down, the kind of opposite to what the garment is.

MY FIANCE PICKED MY OUTFIT 2)

Hiya everyone, what a semi-lovely day we have had in Scotland! Between the heavy duty showers today we've had visits from the sun! Which is awesome. Means ive been able to get some lovely sunny outfit photos again for you all. It keeps coming out to play then hiding again, who knows why. Today me and Chris went for a lovely lunch at a place called Bernies in Bridge of Weir. I did not get any photos of the place and food because im very forgetful. I forget to take my SLR camera and i didnt have my phone as it needed charging! I am going to start trying ever so hard to keep up to date with all of my social media. So for lunch i had a toasted BLT sandwich (without the T), creamy coleslaw and some salted crisps with a cold can of diet coke. Chris, also had some salted crisps, a cold can of diet coke and an enormous burger! Both of our once empty bellies were very satisfied afterwards!

This outfit, is a part of a feature i started long ago on the blog. I just
havent done an outfit like this since!  I will sometimes get Chris to pick my outfit and no matter what it is i will wear it and post on here. So today this is what he came up with. Here is what he has to say about the outfit:

"Im a really geeky person at heart so i jumped at the chance to pick an outfit for Hayley today! I recently got a jumper that i knew she had her eye on for quite some time. So i decided today was the day that i would create an outfit for her! I decided to go for quite a grunge look which i thought would work well with the jumper and its also one of my favourite styles to photograph. To start off i matched the jumper with her new pair of "boyfriend" jeans. I finally decided to go for the loafer style of heel after various trial and error (im still new to this). I decided to add her favourite Topshop bomber jacket and her pop art zap clutch to brighten up the rest of the outfit. I am really happy with it and i think it suits her really well."
